AIESEC Induction session

Today was my Induction Session for AIESEC and I went there (Helvetia Youth Centre) without knowing what was waiting for me.  I arrived at 10:20 and was 10 minutes early, but there were around 15 AIESECers already present. I introduced myself, wrote my name on a tag just like the others. We started to play a game which was about asking a question to anyone in the circle and the rule was that we were not supposed to answer the question, but to ask another question to another person (the questions should not be those that have already been asked).

Then it was past 10:30 and those who cane after that got a punishment after introducing themselves. Some examples of punishment are to imitate an animal, to propose a girl/boy and finally the famous one in which I got involved was to dance a slow with someone in the circle. I never dared to do these kind of stuffs before, but I went for it anyway and it was not that bad! 😛

We were then called inside, and my god, the welcome they gave us was awesome!! Like a celebrity! I really loved it, big thanks to the AIESEC Team who organized it!

Moreover, we were introduced to the structure of AIESEC, the terms used, the rules, vision, values, well all about AIESEC. We were asked about our expectations from AIESEC and they answered them. Then came the famous JIVE, which is a dance in AIESEC! Again, I don’t know how to dance, but played the game and I enjoyed so much that I can’t even describe it! 🙂

Here are some examples of the AIESEC jive:

The rest of the activities were oriented towards what AIESEC was and finally there was a group activity.  It ended at 16:30 and what I can conclude is that AIESEC is awesome, and I took the right decision when joining it.
